TKS Asks: What are your thoughts on the 2012 presidential election?
Junior Grant Lowe: “I was really disappointed in them after the first debate. I really expected more from both of them — and that’s coming from someone who’s not that big a fan of Romney.”
Post-baccalaureate fellow Casey Samoore ’12: “It’s been filled with people being scared that the people they hate are going to be elected. And that’s the theme of the election this year — just fear that the other guy is going to win.”
Sophomore Joy Westerman: “How do I feel about the elections? Upset. It’s like choosing the lesser of two evils. Basically, I wish I could have better people to vote for.”
Junior Josh Fishman: “This election is probably one of the most important we’ve had in a while. If Romney wins the election, then the country is going to a landslide and he’ll destroy the economy.”
German teaching assistant Juliane Fricke: “In Europe, people are very interested in American politics, maybe even more than some Americans. The world has an eye on the U.S. because it’s one of the most important international players.”
