A letter of appreciation from Ladipo Lawani

On Thursday morning, the family of Sekinat “Tundun” Olamitundun Lawani ’14 sent an emailed letter to members of the Knox community. Tundun Lawani, 19, was killed in a car crash on South Street on Sunday, Oct. 28. The letter reads as follows:

Dear Members of the Knox Community,

We express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for your sympathy and kindness during our time of loss.

It is of great comfort to know that your thoughts are with us during this most trying period and that Tundun found a home away from home at Knox College. Tundun was a caring and compassionate daughter and sister and would be missed dearly. Your kind words will help sustain us during these trying times, as will the knowledge that Tundun touched so many lives.

Thank you again for your love, prayers, concern, support and thoughtfulness.

We pray that the Good Lord will comfort you all and satisfy you with long life.

God Bless you

The Lawanis
