Wild Alaskan Sitka Salmon hits Lake Storey

Sponsored by Sitka Salmon Shares, Q’s Cafe and Baked Pizza, Sitka Salmon is coming to Lake Storey in street food form, from fillets to tacos.

The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in picnic shelter #4. Live music by local group Hammer and Pick Folk Trio will be featured throughout the afternoon. There will also be a number of other family-friendly activities on site.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and free for children under the age of 12, and are available for purchase right here.

Kate Mishkin
Kate Mishkin is a junior majoring in English literature and minoring in journalism. This is her first year as managing editor, after having served as co-news editor and co-mosaic editor. Kate is the recipient of two awards from the Illinois College Press Association for news and feature stories and one award from the Associated Collegiate Press. In 2014 she won the Theodore Hazen Kimble Prize and Ida M. Tarbell Prize in Investigate Journalism. During the summer of 2014, she will be interning at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
