SASS invites students to learn more about feminism

SASS (Students Against Sexism in Society) is giving students an opportunity to learn more about feminism. The club is hosting a get together where feminism will be discussed in an informal environment.

The Meet and Greet will take place Sept. 24 at 4 p.m. in the Taylor Lounge. Refreshments will be served.

SASS is devoted to women’s issues and equality. The club is responsible for several annual events, including Take Back The Night and Love Your Body Week. Students are invited to come to meetings on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. in the Human Rights Center

Kate Mishkin
Kate Mishkin is a junior majoring in English literature and minoring in journalism. This is her first year as managing editor, after having served as co-news editor and co-mosaic editor. Kate is the recipient of two awards from the Illinois College Press Association for news and feature stories and one award from the Associated Collegiate Press. In 2014 she won the Theodore Hazen Kimble Prize and Ida M. Tarbell Prize in Investigate Journalism. During the summer of 2014, she will be interning at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
