Christopher Paluch, brother of post-baccalaureate fellow Zachary Paluch ’13, will be on Chicago NBC news stations Thursday evening telling Zachary’s story, according to an update on the family’s Giveforward fundraising page. The story will air at 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. central time.
“[T]he main goal was to let people know about Zach’s story. Not to make gigantic story about the cause of his injuries,” he wrote.
Christopher has added two other updates to the site, including information about Zachary’s injuries and his healing progress. According to an update for Thursday, Sept. 19, Zachary has started responding to touch. As of Sunday, Sept. 22, Christopher wrote that the swelling in his brother’s brain had decreased and that he had opened his mouth.
“He is definitely looking better,” Christopher wrote.
The support for Zachary has continued to come in, both via acknowledgement from electronic dance musician ARTY and in monetary donations to the fundraiser. Although the Giveforward page has only been active for three days, 143 donations have already been made, totaling $8,185. Donations may be made here.
