Knox offers weekend of music

Though the term is wrapping up, Knox’s music department is only getting started.

On Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in Kresge, several ensembles will perform. On the program are the Knox Jazz Ensemble and Small Ensembles, including the Flute Choir, Trumpet Ensemble and Chamber Ensemble.

Sunday will offer a performance by the Knox College Choir. The concert will feature several pieces, including the world premiere of “At a Window,” a new piece composed by award-winning Abbie Betinis. That particular piece will kick of a series of works performed by the Knox College Choir inspired by Galesburg’s Carl Sandburg and his poetry. The concert will take place on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m.

Both concerts will take place in Kresge.
