VIDEO: Knox students stage walk-out, express frustrations over diversity

Students gathered outside Old Main Wednesday afternoon to express their frustrations with the state of diversity issues at Knox College as part of a walkout organized by The Diversity Initiative, a coalition of students demanding a meeting with the Board of Trustees to convey their grievances.

During the rally, students voiced their frustrations with health services, sexual assault policies, administrator transparency and the lack of diversity at Knox.

The rally is largely meant to foster a sense of solidarity among the student body that transcends affinity groups or organizations devoted to particular issues, such as sexual assault prevention, according to student organizers.
